Saul Bass was the king of the film poster and title sequence, but he really has done it all. Logos. Films. Packaging. Products. Architecture. Corporate identification. Graphics. He was responsible for some of the most iconic logos, film posters, and title sequences of the modern era. During his 40-year career Bass worked for some of Hollywood’s most prominent filmmakers, including Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese.

Not only do I consider Bass a legend, he is an inspiration for my work because of his attention to negative space, clean lines, minimalism, and typography. His style was graphical yet minimal with a focus on bright colors and a human touch Below, you’ll find some of my favorite Saul Bass creations.
