After presenting various incarnations of the logo, the final logo was chosen which reflects his initials MV and has a heavy military feel.

The mission of the Mississippi Safe Schools Coalition is to ensure that all students have a safe learning environment by protecting students’
constitutional rights, ending discrimination, and fostering acceptance through public education.

The logo pulls two, common ideas relating to schools: the apple and the chalkboard. I sought to involve both in a modern brand that looked both professional but would also relate to students.
