Ban the [Plastic] Bag

Data released by the United States:
Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Protection Agency shows somewhere between 500 billion and a trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide each year.

Less than 1% of those bags are recycled and it costs more to recycle a bag than to produce a new one.

That said, D and I have been meaning to get some reusable shopping bags for our trips to the grocery. I was thinking of Get Hip Get Green, but may venture to the local Co-op to see what they may have to offer.

Now, if the manufacturers of electronics, candies, and other consumer goods could use less plastic!

Do you have any suggestions for reusable bags or re-using plastic bags?
